Hello, I'm
Daniel Rodríguez-Colón
When I'm dealing with stress, I ...

To deal with stress I become more introspective, quiet, and careful with my words. I have an avoidant personality when it comes to conflict. Always trying to keep calm and mellow everyone out.

The best way to give me feedback is …

If it's praise, give it freely and abundantly.

If it's critical, ask me if I have the mental or emotional capacity to receive it at that time. "Is it a good time to talk about(insert important subject)?"

The basics you should know about me are ...

My name is Daniel Jaime Rodríguez-Colón, but call me Daniel--or Dan if you are in a rush.

I will be co-leading on Casa Areyto Phase 1. I have a background in art and design and am currently a product and marketing manager for an architectural software and consulting firm.

Usually I will walk around Philadelphia all day, from coffee shop to coffee shop, doing work and reading and responding to messages.

Beyond work, I’m really passionate about ...

I love going to the park or local festivals. When I am not cooking I am daydreaming about a meal I've never made and where I can find those ingredients (right now I am really wanting to make homemade ramen and pho broth)

I am always sketching. I take an ipad or sketchbook with me everywhere so that I can sketch what I am seeing: crowd of people, old building, quiet streetscape.

My absolute requirements to do great work are ...

Macbook, Ipad + apple pencil, iphone, and a sketchbook.

I prefer to work outside, public library, or a coffee shop. I get my best work done when the work I am doing has a great impact. It is hard for me to buy into doing work I do not believe in--at that point I am just doing it to pay my bills and everyone can tell.

My best working patterns look like ...

I am always working or learning. Between 8am-9pm I will spend 30min-90min working, but I take a ton of breaks. The longer I work remotely the more I appreciate asynchronous communication work. It's like a relay race. I depend on my team to carry the batton whenever I cant. I am here to carry it when you can't.
