Hello, I'm
Hannah Hunter
What I think deserves celebrating is ...

Diversity. Odd-bod-dery. Weird (safe weird, not 'want to kill you and eat your soul' weird) being a point of pride and not shame. Basically anything that's not social conformity. I'm a geek, I got answers right in Science because of Star Trek. It also taught me that difference is good. So long as it's not offensive, what is the problem?!

When I'm dealing with stress, I ...

In a variety of ways. I can become more withdrawn and hyper-focused on my work and I believe that is because my rejection sensitive dysphoria is more pronounced at these points and I attempt to limit the possibility of this being triggered.
I may develop a tic which is usually tapping a part of my collarbone or hand subconsciously. It's usually a way of distracting the part of the brain that is stressing so I can focus on what I'm doing.
Saying 'bless you' to people in the room without noticing is a good sign I'm hyper-focused.
I can become tearful when the stress is heightened- it's never usually sadness, but anger. Largely because I know what I need to do, but I also don't think it will resolve the situation at all.

The best way to give me feedback is …

If it’s a mistake I keep making, having it in writing with the guidance or background to look at so I can take time to process, review and come back with questions if there’s something I don’t understand. Because there’s a human element to the job and a real world impact, I want to improve.
I also need it to be very clear where I went wrong as I do think about each step, so if it wasn’t a careless mistake I will have thought about it.

If you want an explanation for something, I need time to think before answering.

I actually don’t do well with positive feedback or praise and please don’t be surprised if I cry.

The basics you should know about me are ...

Hannah
Office as much as I can.
Might move to the quiet room if the office is too loud.
Not too talkative and I tend to speak only if spoken to, but I am working on that.

Beyond work, I’m really passionate about ...

Films, tv and writing. (placeholder because I spent ages filling this in and being funny and it deleted itself)

My absolute requirements to do great work are ...

A quiet area without shouting or high decibel sound so I can remain focussed.
Or, if there are inconsistent sounds or I have a loud mind, listening to a film or podcast helps to focus. Particularly when the work I am doing is repetitive.

My best working patterns look like ...

Working early (8 - 4), work that is a problem to solve, cooperative working.
Working late on a consistent pattern: same day each week.
I enjoyed working weekends earlier in the year, but haven’t got back into them since exam marking.
