Hello, I'm
Lina Patel
The basics you should know about me are ...

Based on the traditional and unceded lands of the Eastern Kulin Nations in the place also known as Melbourne, Australia and my pronouns are she/her.

I'm a Facilitator and Collaboration Designer and my mission is to alleviate needless workplace suffering and bring more kindness into the world, one team at a time.

I work with teams in Australia and around the world, onsite and online. Specifically those who:

✔ Know where they are headed and aren't sure how to get there.
✔ Want to get things done and care about setting good team foundations so they can navigate complex changes, without burning each other out.
✔ Want to get better at 'how' they work together not just 'what' they do together.
✔ Want to bring the best out of their teams by facilitating moments that matter.
✔ Need someone in their corner when trying something new or difficult.

People seek me out because I approach what I do with a strong sense of purpose, clear boundaries, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth. I'm committed to my own development in service of my clients and community. I strive to be intentional and self-aware and rely on structure, planning, and spaciousness to achieve this. When I'm around, hard things feel doable. You can find out more on my style further down.

Please use the contact form on my website (https://www.revmaconsulting.com) or send me an email with a brief description of what you'd like to chat about and I'll send you a Calendly link to find time.

I study on Fridays which means I'm not available for meetings and generally don't check emails Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

The channels I prefer to communicate via are ...

If you'd like to involve me in a project and this is the first time you're reaching out, please use the contact form on my website (https://www.revmaconsulting.com) to provide me with some background information.

If we are already in touch, please email me. I generally see and respond to new project queries within 2-3 working days and don’t usually respond immediately to requests.

Whilst we're on the topic of emails ... I have adopted The Email Charter which means:

▸ I send emails when it suits me and I encourage you to read/respond/action emails at a time that suits you.
▸ My responses might be quite brief and it’s ok if yours is too.
▸ Unless I ask you a direct question I don’t expect a response and if you haven't asked one, I will not respond.
▸ For a complicated question I’ll set up a call instead.

Whilst we're on the topic of calls ... I don't take unscheduled calls so you're unlikely to reach me on the phone unless we've arranged a time before hand.

You can either use the contact form on my website (https://www.revmaconsulting.com) or email me to find a time and I look forward to chatting with you.

The brief I can work best from includes ...

As we're working out your project needs, here's what I'm wondering. I've included this list of questions so you have a sense of where our conversations may go.

▸ Why : what is the high level purpose of your work?

▸ What : what are the outcomes you're hoping to achieve / what will be different as a result of doing this work?

▸ Where : will we work together onsite, online, or a mix of both?

▸ When : are there exact dates you have in mind and is there a rough timeline to achieve greatness?

▸ What is this worth to you : how much are you willing to invest to achieve what you're aiming for ... how much time/energy/money can you and/or your organisation put towards this?

▸ Why me : in a world abounding with awesome people, you included, what do you imagine I can best contribute to help you achieve what you're aiming for?

If you're not sure what the work is worth to you, don't worry we'll work that out together. And no I don't have standard rates because what I offer is not a commodity and the value of my work depends on what it's worth to you. It will help if you have a sense of your $ budget ahead of time.

We'll also work out the 'How' together, so no need to think too hard on that. Figuring out the 'How' is my job.

My best working patterns look like ...

Getting to yes — before we agree to work together

▸ We have an initial discussion about your current context, needs, and capacity to invest.
▸ Within a week I share back my key takeaways while you think about whether you want to keep exploring your problem with me.
▸ If yes, I have a couple of further scoping chats with the decision maker(s) to clarify what you're trying to achieve, including doing a quick scan of where people are at.
▸ I take that away and propose a few options on how to achieve the outcomes you're after, at different investment (time & $) points. See below for more on fees.
▸ If it's still yes, you pick one approach and we progress with that.
▸ Throughout this process we work out if we're a good fit for each other.

-------

Valuing the work — taking an outcomes-based approach to pricing

▸ We have a chat about what you're trying to achieve i.e. outcomes.
▸ Together we work out roughly what those outcomes would be worth to you.
▸ Add into the mix the time/energy/$ available.
▸ We land on a price that's worth everyone's involvement.
▸ Throughout this process we build trust and understanding about what's at stake.

-------

Getting to done — after we agree to work together

▸ I facilitate a kick-off session with those who wish to be involved in designing whatever we'll be working on together.
▸ As we go along I work out the more specific methods and approaches we'll use, depending on who is involved and what you're trying to achieve.
▸ Broadly speaking I bring a listening ear and ask questions to build shared understanding, shared vision, and if need be a shared plan amongst those involved.
▸ Throughout this process I'm 100% committed to your success.

I approach what I do with a strong sense of purpose, clear boundaries, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth. I'm committed to my own development in service of my clients and community. I strive to be intentional and self-aware and rely on structure, planning, and spaciousness to achieve this. When I'm around, hard things feel doable.

Here's what others notice about my style:

1. Relationally attuned: I'm skilled at noticing what's not being said and navigating complex interpersonal situations with care. I pay close attention to relational dynamics and power. I value authentic connection and favor depth and alignment over breadth.

2. Purposeful and values-driven: I'm deeply committed to my values (see the About page on my website) and to making a positive impact through my work. I bring a strong ethical sensibility to everything I'm involved with. I'm selective about who I work with and keep a close eye on values alignment.

3. Continuously learning and evolving: I love learning and invest significant time and energy in my growth and development. When my attention is not on a client project, I'm probably learning something and integrating new insights into my practice. I approach client work as a learner rather than presume to be an expert on your specific situation and context. I aim to invite an attitude of discovery when working with others.

4. Boundaried and protective of my energy: I thoughtfully manage my capacity to avoid over extension. This means building in regular time for rest, reflection and spaciousness and being willing to say no to opportunities that exceed my capacity. I encourage my clients to incorporate this in the work we do together.

5. Analytically insightful: I have a keen eye for noticing patterns and dynamics, both in myself and in groups. I hope to offer astute observations and questions that get to the heart of the matter. Being well rested makes this possible for me.

6. Systematic and organised: I like to break things down into clear steps and timelines. I take pride in delivering work on time and on budget.
