Hello, I'm
Elizabeth Boyd
I work brilliantly together with …

People who are funny, creative, honest, and kind human beings! I also love people passionate about what they do - whatever that is.

My values are: ► Collaborative ► Stimulation ► Achievement ► Self-Direction ► Security ► Iteration ► Benevolence

I enjoy knowing how other people work, so there is mutual respect and understanding. I don't engage in gossip, and I enjoy getting to know people authentically. I love working with people with a sense of humor.

Three things I’ve done recently which I’m proud of are …

1) I have built an Open-Source Talent Development & Learning Library to support others who are establishing a L&D function or who are new to the Talent Development & Learning space: https://www.notion.so/talentlablive/Beth-s-2025-Open-Source-Library-12aa62cbcfb58042976dcdbd8b674558?pvs=4

2) In March 2025, I was published for the 20th time since 2022: https://padlet.com/BethTalentLabLive/timeline-of-published-blurbs-yr3tawj5am4us5p2

3) I was recently selected as one of the Top 25 of 2025 CultureAmp Culture Creators: https://www.cultureamp.com/emerging-culture-creators/2025

Beyond work, I’m really passionate about ...

As a mom of two boys, I am passionate about the lives they will lead and the experiences that will shape them as they mature into men. I am focused on creating healthy habits - we have an urban garden in the spring/summer where we grow most of our own fruits, vegetables, & herbs. I am excited to have just started our 2025 garden in mid-April and am trying some new things this year, including asparagus, horseradish, & artichokes (in addition to the usual)

I love new experiences. In early 2025, I started taking Irish Step Dancing lessons. In April 2025, I started knitting. In May 2025, my boys & I are taking golf lessons for the first time.

I love cooking, baking, & cocktail making for friends & family!

What I think deserves celebrating is ...

►People who consistently deliver on their promises ►People who display a growth mindset & curiosity ►Good, KIND, authentic human beings ►I think cultural holidays should be celebrated (virtual cooking events & learning)

I add value to teams by …

I am collaborative, energetic, & enthusiastic about the work I do with my business partners. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy hearing different perspectives & opinions to ensure we capturing various points of view & creating the most exciting & engaging learning experiences that support our organization's mission & vision.

I am an open-source business partner, so I create & curate content that drives critical conversations & critical thinking. I support others without an agenda (unless they prove they aren't worthy of it - then I let them figure it out on their own).

I operate without ego. I'm not the smartest. I'm not the most creative. I'm not the most talented. However, I work really hard to deliver the best, most impressive, and on-point work each day.

You’ll convince me to get on board by …

Being open to new ideas & innovative solutions. Be able to brainstorm with me to determine the best solutions for challenges. I would like to know what problem we are solving - this helps me identify what can work for the population (it's not always a training course).

If you ask me to be involved with a project to support the growth & development of your team, I expect it to be a collaborative & unified process and for people not to slow down the work by not responding to feedback requests or creating delays in the process with lack of urgency or apathy.

My Professional Values are

Collaboration

Stimulation

Achievement

Self-Direction

Security

Iteration

Benevolence

What motivates me to come into work each day is …

► Engaging with great colleagues ► Having fun & positive conversations about the business ► Learning something new each day ► Connecting with people to support their career journey

The sorts of outputs and outcomes I create include …

I make learning programs playful, impactful, & engaging for people through relevant workshops and experiences that are meant to leverage social learning & adult learning theories. I believe in micro-learning and creating journeys with multiple touchpoints to make key ideas sticky & memorable. See a sample here: https://www.notion.so/talentlablive/LEAD-Program-2025-Toolkit-147a62cbcfb58057be99fa64e670d07e?pvs=4

I'm a rapid prototyper and turn around content quickly for feedback and adaptation. I don't sit on projects. I get them set up and ready to roll out.

I’ve discovered that I best like working in the following ways …

► I enjoy digging into projects right away and creating a prototype so that we can work through how the programming should look ► There are times that I will block "focus-time" on my calendar to get some deep work done (these are 90-minute productivity sprints for myself) ► If you want to know more about how I work...click the link...https://padlet.com/BethTalentLabLive/my-assessment-reports-ks9b35ow818950l1

The sort of projects which really excite me have …

► A problem we're solving for people ► Colleagues who are available to answer questions ► Consistent check-ins ► Challenge ► Data-informed projects that drive decision-making (eliminating most delays caused by humans) ► My favorite projects empower people and make them smarter

The basics you should know about me are ...

I am the mom of two really great kiddos, Parker (18) & Cooper (14).

I wake up each day feeling very lucky to be able to do work that I love and help people be great at what they do (when they want to be).

My Personality Profile is ...

My best working patterns look like ...

I work a fairly linear schedule to ensure that I am available to my colleagues all over the globe at certain times of the day. I also have flashes of creativity at odd hours so when I am working on a project, I may be up in the middle of the night creating. It's really about when creativity strikes, I make the most of that moment.

The things which prevent me from doing my best are …

► Toxic work environments ("no, but" coworkers/environments, gossipy cultures, duplicitous cultures) ► Companies prioritizing productivity (metrics) over progress or people ► C-Level & Executive "teams" filled with hubris ► Lack of diversity in perspectives & people

When I'm dealing with stress, I ...

I don't feel stress or anxiety too frequently; I can manage my emotions, expectations, and calendar efficiently. I lean into humor to manage challenging situations and don't take myself or others too seriously.

There are times when I need time & space to get my work done but I create a calendar to ensure I am early with all of my deliverables. I ensure that I take time off to focus on things outside of work that I am passionate about and that helps keep me centered and calm.

The best way to give me feedback is …

Provide it at the moment and please be candid. If I did something well, let me know. If you need me to adapt/update, let me know. I would hate to be surprised by feedback after the fact so please feel comfortable giving it as soon as possible so I can react and pivot if need be.

The stages of a project I work best at include …

I enjoy collaboration and am eager to help wherever I can. If that means being an SME or being involved in the full-cycle of the project, I am here for all of it!

The brief I can work best from includes ...

My first question when designing a learning experience is, "what problem are we solving"? I need to know what the goal/objective is to design a learning experience that solves a challenge and allows people to do their best work that is aligned with the organizational goals.

People often say I’m brilliant at …

Creating experiences that excite people. My proudest moments are when I have to schedule another workshop because word of mouth has spread and people are disappointed to have missed an event!

My absolute requirements to do great work are ...

Collaborative, kind, & fun colleagues are my #1 requirement for loving my job & producing my best work. I have a "No Jerks Policy" that I absolutely believe in. I need to believe that where I work is doing good things for their people, their clients, & their community.

I use a laptop most of the time. I still take notes with a pen & paper. I love challenges and a fast-paced environment.
