Hello, I'm
Dami Junaid
When I'm dealing with stress, I ...

I can be a little impatient and direct in my communication. It doesn't mean I don't value your opinion, but it's indicative of being under pressure and needing to take a break from the work. However, I do communicate when I have a lot on my plate and need help. Support looks like taking the work off my plate and coming prepared to meetings and/or reading up on assigned work prior to the meetings.

Taking time away and resting helps with stress management.

To prevent stress and burnout, I'm big on boundaries and communicating this to the team in advance so everyone is prepared and we can support one another

The best way to give me feedback is …

Be direct, clear and kind. No need to beat around the bush.

Provide valuable context or examples on feedback so I have a point of reference to understand how I can improve

The basics you should know about me are ...

I have experience working w/ B2C & B2B companies (startup, mid-market & Fortune 500) in the Retail (Ecommerce), Healthcare & Digital technology space.

I'm passionate about delivering user-centric products - so I ask a lot of clarifying questions to get to their pain points. I also trust in the power of data in decision making. My strengths come from my ability to ask the right questions, learn from my mistakes and pivot according to the evolving needs of the business & market.

My strengths are in communication, strategy and operations. As a public speaker and storyteller, I pride myself in making complex ideas easy to understand by different audiences.

Beyond work, I’m really passionate about ...

In my spare time, I enjoy solo traveling, singing, dancing and creating content on social media. I also a host a podcast (More Than One Story) where I explore and elevate the multifaceted identities of immigrants/expats and TCKs.

My absolute requirements to do great work are ...

Focus quiet time once there's clarity on a team level. Can also do collaborative team work with individuals that come prepared to the meeting and contribute to the work.

I work fine with just a laptop, no big screen needed.

I like doing work that is challenging and can handle work in fast paced environment - preferably that is not the norm. Structure on teams is important to me so meetings are not unproductive and respectful of everyone's times.

My best working patterns look like ...

Mostly an early bird. I prefer to leave work early and not work late into the night. No weekend work
