Hello, I'm
Hellena Diamond
I work brilliantly together with …

someone who complements my skills. I'm more detail-oriented, so I thrive when paired with a visionary who can see the big picture and inspire new ideas. This balance allows us to cover all aspects of a project effectively. I also work well with someone who isn't afraid to challenge me and speak up. This type of partner helps me grow by pushing me to think critically and consider different perspectives, leading to more innovative solutions.

The things which prevent me from doing my best are …

frequent interruptions and distractions. Constantly being pulled away from my work by emails, meetings, or ad-hoc requests disrupts my concentration. To remove this block, I find it helpful to set designated 'focus time' on my calendar where interruptions are (usually) minimized. I also find that an overwhelming workload prevents me from giving my best effort to each task. An effective way to remove this block includes prioritizing tasks, delegating when possible, and doing my best to communicate with my manager about my workload.

You’ll convince me to get on board by …

providing detailed plans and strategies. I need to see a clear roadmap of how we will achieve the goals, including steps, timelines, and resources needed. A well-thought-out plan gives me confidence in the feasibility and success of the project. It also helps to highlight the long-term vision and impact. Understanding the broader significance helps me to see the long-term value.

What motivates me to come into work each day is …

the people that I work with. If I won the lottery tomorrow and never had to work again, would I? Sure, but presently, what motivates me to show up at work every day is the team that I work with and the work that I do. I genuinely enjoy my job and see the opportunity to drive change in the organization through people analyses, while also giving our employees a positive experience through the work that I do in our Workday HRIS system.

When I'm dealing with stress, I ...

tend to overwork and take on more tasks than I can handle. It's my way of trying to gain control over the situation. If you see me taking on too many responsibilities, it's a signal that I'm stressed and could use support in prioritizing or delegating tasks.

The best way to give me feedback is …

through regular check-ins or 1:1 meetings. A relaxed environment with my manager or the individual providing the feedback helps make the conversation feel less intimidating and more like a constructive dialogue. I also appreciate when feedback is specific and actionable, so I know exactly what I did well or what I need to improve on.

There are some things which I’d love to resolve as a team ...

particularly increasing transparency into our project work and treating everything that I do like a project, no matter the size. By treating everything like a project, we can ensure everyone stays informed about the status of various tasks and projects. To help make this happen, I will work towards holding kick-off calls when beginning an initiative or project and include stakeholders that should be involved in or aware of this project. I will organize and facilitate these kick-off calls as well as regular project updates and/or status meetings where team members can stay informed.

Three things I’ve done recently which I’m proud of are …

1. Launching our annual assessment and talent calibration program in Workday,
2. Delivering our 2024 GPTW survey to measure employee engagement, and
3. Streamlining information flow through our job intake process in Workday.
